Our team consists of highly qualified Arborists who work diligently to provide the utmost care of your property: trees, landscape, structures and underground utilities.
We are an LLC operating inside Arkansas. We carry hefty insurance policies, and certificate of insurance is attached to all serious work quotes.
Certified Arborists are individuals who have achieved a level of knowledge in the art and science of tree care through experience and by passing a comprehensive examination developed by some of the nation’s leading experts on tree care. Certified Arborists must also continue their education to maintain their certification and adhere to a Code of Ethics. Therefore, they are more likely to be up to date on the latest techniques in arboriculture.
With trees, each job is unique and priced accordingly. We will provide a detailed estimate considering the degree of difficulty and extent of work. Be cautious of disproportionately low bids. Spencer Tree Care makes significant investments in equipment, training, and insurance to protect your property, the work crew, and to efficiently and effectively complete projects.
Trees rarely fail because they are too tall. Unnoticed defects, negligence, improper care, and storms are the most common cause of tree failure that we see.
Topping is the indiscriminate cutting of tree branches to stubs or to lateral branches that are not large enough to assume the terminal role.
Leaves are the food factories of a tree; however, topping can remove 50-100% of a tree’s leaf-bearing crown. Removing the leaves can potentially starve a tree and trigger various survival mechanisms. Dormant buds are activated, forcing rapid growth of multiple shoots below each cut. The tree needs to grow a new crop of leaves as soon as possible. If a tree does not have the stored energy reserves to do so, it will be seriously weakened and may die.
Stressed trees are more vulnerable to pest, disease, and sunburn. The indiscriminate cuts also lead to decay and weakly attached sprouts, almost guaranteeing issues in the future, leading to higher maintenance costs and riskier trees over time.
A Tree Risk Assessment is a system used to identify a tree's structural condition to estimate failure potential and severity. We perform an inspection, collect data, input the data into a risk rating matrix, and give you a written or verbal report.
We maintain records of all our assessments and are able to monitor tree condition over time.
